She might have won the 2015 Hong Kong Touring Car championship, loves Lamborghinis and Ferraris and is a regular at Fuji Speedway, but Yeung is also a cyclist, real estate CEO and mum-of-two

A woman competing in a male-dominated sport is not news, but one who breaks down certain gender barriers and succeeds in the ultimate way – by winning – is always a cause for celebration.

Denise Yeung might be one of Hong Kong’s fastest female racing car drivers – and the proof is in the trophies on her shelf. She is also a successful businesswoman and is often spotted at high-profile social events and parties. It would seem there is not enough time in the day for Yeung’s busy lifestyle. And though you will quickly notice that pink may be her favourite colour (see the photos below), here are five more things you should know about the woman who lives life in the fast lane.

Yeung started racing competitively in 2009 and is celebrated as one of Hong Kong’s fastest female racing drivers. She first took part in the Asian Touring Car Series, and then entered in the Female Group Championship – Chinese Cup at the 61st Macau Grand Prix in 2014.

A year later she was crowned winner of the 2015 Hong Kong Touring Car – Group N2000 and won third place in the 2016 Formula E Hong Kong ePrix E-Golf Professional Race. When not participating in championships, Yeung keeps her skills sharp on racing events at Japan’s Fuji Speedway.

Racing cars is not Yeung’s full-time job, though the hours she puts in it may fool you. Instead, her day job is as CEO of New Homes Property, a real estate company in Hong Kong which she founded in 2009. Her business specialises in leasing and selling luxury residential properties, commercial offices and retail shops in Hong Kong.
