The Golden Globes are a classic awards show, so it goes without saying that stars pull out their boldest looks for the evening.

At the 81st annual event on Sunday, celebrities walked the red carpet in stand-out suits, see-through dresses and audacious ensembles.

Here are a dozen of the most daring looks seen throughout the night.

Garner’s sleeveless Gucci gown had all-over sequins, two straps that covered her chest and acted as a top, and a floor-length skirt.

She wore it with small gold earrings and a matching bangle.

The singer and actress’ metallic red gown had chest cut-outs decorated with black floral appliqués and an asymmetrical skirt that was knee-length on one side and nearly reached the floor on the other.
