12 most daring looks at the 2024 Golden Globes, from Taylor Swift and Timothée Chalamet, to Selena Gomez, Saltburn’s Barry Keoghan and Margot Robbie – so which stars wore it best on the red carpet?

The Golden Globes are a classic awards show, so it goes without saying that stars pull out their boldest looks for the evening.

At the 81st annual event on Sunday, celebrities walked the red carpet in stand-out suits, see-through dresses and audacious ensembles.

Here are a dozen of the most daring looks seen throughout the night.

1. Julia Garner

Garner’s sleeveless Gucci gown had all-over sequins, two straps that covered her chest and acted as a top, and a floor-length skirt.

She wore it with small gold earrings and a matching bangle.

3. Selena Gomez

The singer and actress’ metallic red gown had chest cut-outs decorated with black floral appliqués and an asymmetrical skirt that was knee-length on one side and nearly reached the floor on the other.

She wore the design, which was custom-made by Armani Privé, with diamond jewellery and an updo hairstyle.

4. Pedro Pascal

The Last of Us star arrived at the red carpet in Bottega Veneta and a black sling on his arm – which, he told reporters, he had injured during a fall.

5. Dua Lipa

The British-Albanian singer-songwriter’s strapless Schiaparelli design had a velvet form-fitting bodice and a wide, matt skirt that blossomed above the knees.

It was also decorated with bone-shaped pieces made from gold and diamonds that referenced the shapes of the human skeleton.

6. Barry Keoghan

The Saltburn star’s custom Louis Vuitton outfit included a white button-up shirt underneath a red checkered jacket, matching trousers and pearl accessories.
He also wore a diamond pin, a pearl necklace and a ruby earring.

7. Charles Melton

The star of the drama film May December arrived for the event in Giorgio Armani and brought his mum as his plus-one.

Swift arrived solo to the event in a shimmering green Gucci gown.

9. Hunter Schafer

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes star arrived for the event in a diaphanous Prada gown with dramatic flowing tendrils, giving the actress an ethereal look.

10. Rosamund Pike

Pike’s strapless Dior dress had a corset bodice and full skirt, both of which were covered in the same appliqués that decorated its netted sleeves and neckpiece.

The actress completed the outfit with a black headpiece that featured a netted veil.

12. Heidi Klum
