Ghesquière launched his LV career with a show at Paris’ Louvre Museum and continues to bring a futuristic feel to his womenswear collections
It’s been 10 years since Nicolas Ghesquière showed his debut womenswear collection for Louis Vuitton in the courtyard of the Louvre Museum, defying expectations with a line of sleek wardrobe staples designed for the working woman on the go.
A decade on, the designer’s futuristic approach to embracing the brand’s heritage shines through in the details of his work, especially in the brand’s autumn/winter 2024 collection – furry gloves, exaggerated silhouettes and the iconic Louis Vuitton trunk print all made an appearance in a fitting celebration of Ghesquière’s legacy at the storied French maison.
