Chloé’s Clare Waight Keller signs off with whimsical palette at Paris Fashion Week
Departing creative director’s autumn-winter collection brings down curtain on six-year reign
Finishing her six-year tenure at Chloé, Clare Waight Keller didn’t get nostalgic. Instead, she took the Chloé girl down a rabbit hole of the decades for her final collection as creative director of the Parisian maison.
“An edgy dream world of psychedelic optimism” is what Waight Keller is after for the new autumn-winter collection.
A whimsical colour palette of ochre, tobacco, mint, peach and lilac set the tone of the show – good vibes only.
Broad round shoulder wool jackets and mohair intarsia knits bring back 70s references.
Retro-esque wonderland prints of whimsical flowers, butterflies and opium poppy flowers are rendered in velvet and silk crepe.
Butterfly wing collar, lavaliere bow and scallop hems echo Chloé’s signature Parisian chic.
