Days before Kid Rock performed at Donald Trump’s inauguration event on Sunday, he was celebrating his birthday with his son Robert James Ritchie Jr – so what do we know about the star’s only child?

Kid Rock wanted Michelle Obama to put politics aside and attend Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 21.

“I would kindly remind her that years back when [Barack] Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him, but they asked me to play the inauguration, and I played it and I went,” Rock shared on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime on Thursday night. “So I would kindly remind Miss Michelle about that.”

Reports claim that the former first lady is not attending Trump’s inauguration due to her alleged disdain for the future president of the United States. She also skipped former president Jimmy Carter’s funeral in Washington earlier this month, where her husband Barack Obama was seen chatting with Trump.
