Laura Shusterman must rue the day her family introduced her husband Michael Cohen to Donald Trump – who the disgraced lawyer fears may take revenge when he returns to the White House

Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen has openly asked Joe Biden to pardon him before leaving office, claiming he is on Donald Trump’s alleged “enemies list”.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s The Weekend, the 58 year old said being pardoned would protect him from any potential prosecution the incoming president’s justice department might pursue against him after he testified against Donald Trump in the “hush money” trial last May.

Another person who will be worried for Cohen’s safety as Trump returns to the White House is Cohen’s wife, Laura Shusterman. But who is she exactly?

Shusterman reportedly had connections to Donald Trump before her husband did. According to Associated Press reporter Seth Hettena’s book Trump/Russia: A Definitive History, Shusterman’s Ukrainian father, Fima Shusterman, was the one who first introduced Cohen to Trump. Laura’s parents, Fima and Ania, were even known to have co-owned property with the Cohens in Trump Tower in New York City, according to Newsweek.

What does Laura Shusterman do?

The husband-and-wife duo initially earned their money by leasing and selling New York City taxi medallions to drivers. However, they reportedly owe thousands in unpaid taxes to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a result, according to Newsweek in 2018.
