Following a whirlwind romance, the Raised by Ricki host married Burningham in 2022 in their luxurious Malibu home – which has just been destroyed in the Pacific Palisades fire

Television host Ricki Lake is falling back on her community in the wake of the Palisades fire that claimed her Malibu home. Addressing her followers in an Instagram video, the Hairspray actress thanked them for their support and revealed she was safe and staying at a friend’s place. Lake also took the opportunity to warn fans against falling for fraudulent fundraisers run by scammers posing as her and clarified that while she would be donating to those affected by the fire, she was not raising money for herself.

In the days following the tragedy, Lake shared photos and videos of her “dream home” on Instagram, showing both how it had once been and what was left of it. The horrific event brought to mind medium Tyler Henry’s prediction last year about Lake losing something in a fire on his Netflix show Live from the Other Side with Tyler Henry. Resharing the clip on Instagram, she wrote, “The great @tylerhenrymedium called it!”
