Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has been facing heavy criticism over her handling of the wildfires that have devastated the city and her ill-timed diplomatic trip to Ghana.

During a Sky News interview, the mayor can be seen standing mutely and avoiding eye contact as the reporter questioned her decision to reduce the Fire Department’s budget earlier this year.

“Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster?” the reporter asked to which Bass did not respond.

Over 125,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org calling for Bass to step down from her position.
