Washington Commanders’ Jeremy Reaves celebrated a critical win by proposing to his girlfriend of 18 months, in an emotional video shared by the National Football League

NFL star Jeremy Reaves is going into 2025 an engaged man.

The Washington Commanders safety just popped the question to his lady love, Mikaela Worley, who tearfully said yes. The romantic moment, which was shared on the NFL’s official Instagram page, happened right after his team dished a crushing 30-24 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons at Northwest Stadium on December 29, 2024, earning themselves a spot in the playoffs.

“I hate losing, so there’s no way I could have done that in the right spirit after a loss,” Reaves shared later, per the Associated Press.

Marking the special occasion, the American football star penned an emotional tribute to his soon-to-be-wife on his Instagram. “Every time life tore me down, you built me right back up and spoke life into me!” he wrote in part, adding, “God makes no mistakes, and he gave me you when I needed you most!”

According to her Instagram, Worley is a certified physician’s assistant working in urgent care. She completed her pre-professional health studies from the University of Louisiana Monroe, per her LinkedIn, and got her master’s from Brenau University.
