Rabil, whose exes include Eiza González and Kelly Berger, retired from lacrosse in 2021 and now actively promotes the sport; he and Kirby have been dating for 2 years – but are they engaged?
The Crown star Vanessa Kirby is closing out the year with a bang … and possibly a ring! The actress, who is booked and busy with a host of upcoming releases like Night Always Comes, The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, is rumoured to be engaged to her long-time boyfriend, lacrosse star Paul Rabil. The pair have reportedly been dating for two years after first being linked in October 2022.
After over a year of keeping things private since then, they went Instagram official in November 2023. At the time, Rabil wrote on Instagram, “From the very minute we first met in Des Moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you.”

Clearly, he’s a romantic but what else do we know about Kirby’s rumoured fiancé, who was once married to fellow lacrosse pro Kelly Berger and dated actress Eiza González? Read on to find out.
Paul Rabil’s background
Paul Rabil was born to Allan and Jean Rabil in December 1985. Born and raised in Maryland, he played a year of lacrosse at Watkins Mill High School – which he credits for helping him fall in love with the game – then transferred to DeMatha Catholic High School.
At DeMatha, he was a multi-sport athlete playing basketball, track and lacrosse. He later had an exceptional collegiate career at Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in political science with a minor in entrepreneurship and management. Rabil rose to fame after joining Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and was dubbed “The LeBron of Lacrosse”.
