Who is Ken Jeong’s supportive wife Tran Ho? The Hangover alum recently received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star – with him was his doctor wife, who first encouraged him to pursue a career in acting
Jeong and Ho met as young doctors in Los Angeles and married in 2004 – she encouraged him to pursue his acting and comedy careers, and was a good sport about her last name becoming the butt of jokes
During his speech, Jeong expressed his gratitude to his fans and his wife, Tran Ho, for her unwavering support. “I would not be here without my wife, so Tran, I love you so much, you are my partner in crime. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without you,” he said.
Just a month before Jeong received his star, he celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife. Here’s everything we know about Ken Jeong’s wife, Tran Ho.
She’s a doctor
Before Jeong’s career pivoted towards acting and comedy, he was a full-time doctor at a hospital in Los Angeles- and so was his wife.
Ho, who is of Vietnamese descent, is a family medicine doctor. She first met Jeong during a night out with colleagues from the hospital.
“We both realised – oh my God, this is amazing. She made me laugh. She was really the first person I ever met that made me laugh so hard,” Jeong recalled their first meeting during an episode of the Death, Sex & Money podcast.
“She’s just so funny. We are really bonded by our love of comedy. You don’t meet a lot of people in medicine, much less date them, who like that, but we had that in common,” he added.
