Who is Chance the Rapper’s newly minted ex, Kirsten Corley? The influencer and entrepreneur – whose wedding was attended by Kanye West and Kim Kardashian – has worked with brands like Jordan
A former basketball player and model, Corley founded children’s clothing brand World of Boby in 2021; she is also a mental health advocate whose company donates 10% of proceeds to charity
It looks like there won’t be any more second chances for Chance the Rapper, 31.
Days ahead of initiating the legal proceedings, Corley stepped out in a little black dress for a holiday party, with Chance nowhere to be seen. As news of their uncoupling hit the headlines, she posted a new selfie on Instagram, cheekily captioned, “At least use a cute pic of me.”
So just who is Kirsten Corley? Here’s what to know.
What does she do for work?
Corley is a former basketball player, model-turned-influencer and mental health advocate, per People. She has worked with brands including Ritual and Jordan. The latter doesn’t come as a surprise, considering she won both Nike’s Gotta Shine tournament and the All Summa x Jordan league in 2017. She also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from DePaul University.
She’s an entrepreneur
The mum of two founded children’s clothing brand World of Boby in July 2021 to diversify the kidswear space through inclusivity and positive representation of people of colour. Besides being a go-to fashion brand for little ones, the company’s website says it aims to create an empowering community for mothers and promote mental health by donating 10 per cent of proceeds to charity. This mission was inspired by Corley’s experience of becoming a mother at a young age. Following the launch of the brand, she thanked her husband for his support. “I’m always happy to have him as a sounding ear,” she told WGN News in May 2022.
