Their story began in 2010. Swier, a producer, director and musician, has an impressive career with projects including Dexter, Homeland and Glee under her belt. After seven-and-a-half years of dating, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level and got engaged in 2018.

She’s originally from Alabama

Swier, 39, was born in the heart of Alabama but soon found herself growing up amid the hustle and bustle of New York City. Per Legit.ng, she first studied at Indian Springs School before heading to New York University to earn a degree in mass communication and media studies in 2007.

Swier began her career as a production assistant at White Cherry Entertainment, working on major events such as the Super Bowl and the Thanksgiving Day Parade, per Marie Claire. She quickly moved up, contributing to shows on ABC, USA Network, and Showtime including Dexter, Homeland, and The Real L Word.

In 2012, she joined Fox as a writer and producer, working on hits Glee (2009), Scream Queens (2015), The Mindy Project (2012) and New Girl (2011).
