“There’s nothing inherently evil or bad about [a] conservative mindset, I just think that we would like to have conservatives who are not f***ing morons,” The Daily Show correspondent told the show’s host last month.

Chieng also compared covering this year’s election night on The Daily Show to watching a car crash in slow motion, earning a round of laughter from the audience.

Chieng is a senior correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, previously hosted by Trevor Noah, and has starred in films such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, M3gan and Godzilla vs Kong. He is set to release his third stand-up special, Love to Hate It, on Netflix on December 17.

But what about Chieng’s wife of eight years, Hannah Pham, who is successful in her own right? Here’s what to know about the woman behind the successful comedian.

Her parents are Vietnamese

Pham was born in Melbourne, Australia, to Vietnamese parents. On an August episode of The Daily Show, she explained that her family were refugees who escaped from Ho Chi Minh City.

She studied at the University of Melbourne – where she met her future husband – and graduated with a degree in commerce and law.
