One of those lucky young family members is Kate Johnson, Blake Lively’s niece via her sister Robyn.

The 19-year-old isn’t your typical teenager, getting invites to events most of us could only dream of going to.

Nevertheless, she still seems to keep a relatively low profile online.

Here’s what we know about her:
Who are Kate Johnson’s parents?

Kate Johnson is the daughter of two well known American actors – Robyn Lively and Bart Johnson. Her mother has over 100 acting credits to her name, including The Karate Kid Part III, Letters to God, Wildcats and Teen Witch.
Meanwhile, her father has made appearances in about 80 films and TV shows. And if he looks familiar to Disney fans who grew up in the noughties, that’s because he’s best known for playing Coach Bolton in the High School Musical franchise with Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. He later starred in two episodes of the film trilogy’s spin-off show with Olivia Rodrigo, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Kate’s parents also worked together on the film Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters in 2022.

Kate’s grandma, Elaine Lively, is a talent agent.
She has a large family

Kate’s parents have been married since 1999, and they have two other children – Wyatt and Baylen. According to People magazine, Blake and her siblings share a total of 10 kids between them.
Blake has talked about how protective she is of her family. “My parents, my siblings, my daughter, my husband, my nieces and nephews – that’s where I get very mama bear,” she told Marie Claire.
She’s in college

Although there aren’t many details about Kate’s background, her father did share a glimpse of her life via a comment he made on X, where he mentioned that she’s currently studying at university. “My daughter Kate just enjoying her typical freshman year of college in NYC,” he joked in May, while linking to a People magazine article about the teen hanging out with Lively at an A-list event.
She goes to prestigious events with her famous aunt

It seems Kate gets along really well with her famous aunt. In May, the Gossip Girl alum invited Kate as her plus one to Tiffany & Co.’s Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection launch at the luxury brand’s New York City flagship store.
“When you dress up as just the [mermaid] tail. Thank you @tiffanyandco for having me and my angel niece @cakey.johnson,” Lively wrote on Instagram afterwards. “We felt so special. So well fed. And so well sparkled.”

Kate also put in an appearance at the New York premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine with her parents and siblings to show her support for Blake’s husband Ryan Reynolds’ Marvel blockbuster earlier this year. The clan also reunited at the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants star’s red carpet event for It Ends with Us in August.
Considering how close sisters Robyn and Blake are, it’s not surprising Kate hangs out with her aunt so much. But she’s a doting daughter too. “Happy Mother’s Day to the sweetest Momma out there! I love you forever and always,” she wrote on Instagram in a tribute to Robyn in 2020.
She travels the world

It’s clear that Kate lives a jet-set lifestyle too. From exploring France, Morocco, and Portugal to going whale-watching and cliff-diving, Kate is quite the adventurer.
She also appears to be a Shawn Mendes fan. In 2018, she reposted a video of her mum and Mendes, where the singer is quoted as saying “What’s up, Kate? Wish you were here!”
