Who is Randy Moss’ son Thaddeus, who called out Larry Fitzgerald Sr? He described the former Arizona Cardinals player’s revelation on X that his dad had cancer ‘disgusting’, and played in the NFL too
Thaddeus Moss was furious at Larry Fitzgerald Sr after the ex NFL player told the world his father had cancer before he had a chance to announce it himself, and admonished Brett Favre as well
On December 6, NFL megastar-turned-analyst Randy Moss announced that he would be taking an indefinite hiatus from ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown because he’s “battling something internal”.
Soon after, social media was abuzz with speculation that he had been diagnosed with liver cancer. This came after a post on X shared by Larry Fitzgerald Sr – journalist and father of NFL alum Larry Fitzgerald – suggesting the former sportsman had cancer, before Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre shared the news too.
But the hasty post caused Randy’s son Thaddeus to hit back angrily at the speculation. Calling Fitzgerald Sr’s now-deleted post “disgusting”, he wrote on X: “You have no right to try to make private matters public for the sake of engagement.” He also replied to Favre’s misinformed post about Randy allegedly battling liver cancer, writing: “Brett, the support is appreciated, truly. This is not true. My father will address the world when he is ready to.”
By Friday, Randy had decided to use Instagram Live to confirm that he does indeed have cancer – of the bile duct – and had been undergoing surgery. “As soon as I get healthy … I will be on set,” he told viewers. “My goal is to get back on television with my team.”
