Who is Paul Hogan’s son Chance, who he’s ‘worried sick’ for? The Crocodile Dundee star’s son with American actress Linda Kozlowski has said he’s ‘not ready’ for his dad to go back to Australia
Paul Hogan’s son Chance Hogan has him ‘worried sick’ after a string of photos and social media posts have shown him looking unwell – but who is he, and what does he do for work?
Paul Hogan’s youngest child Chance Hogan reportedly has him “worried sick”, according to the Daily Mail. The Crocodile Dundee star’s 26-year-old son has been seen looking dishevelled as he roamed the streets near his father’s home in Venice Beach.
Here’s what we know about him amid the news:
Who are Chance Hogan’s parents?
Chance Hogan is the son of Australian actor and comedian Paul Hogan, 85, and retired American actress Linda Kozlowski, 66. His parents met on the set of Crocodile Dundee and were married from 1990 to 2014. Chance is the only child from their marriage.
“I was about to turn 40 and just wanted to have a baby, and time was running out and I was miserable, really, in the last two jobs I’d done,” Kozlowski shared in a 2001 interview with Scripps Howard News Service. “I’m 43 years old, I’ve got a baby, I’m happy and content. I’ve reached the point in my life where I’m happy and have gotten over the whole thing.”
Kozlowski opened up about her and Hogan’s split in an interview with New Idea. “Honestly, we just naturally grew apart,” she told the magazine. “One of our problems was we really had nothing in common and, over time, that happens to a lot of people.”
Despite ending their relationship, Paul Hogan told the Daily Telegraph that he doesn’t see their time together as a failure. “How can you ‘fail’ after a quarter of a century?” he said, referring to the fact that they were married for 24 years. “Failed marriages are when two people stay together even though they have long ago lost much interest.”
He was raised in Venice Beach
According to the Daily Mail, Chance was raised in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, living in his father’s US$3.5 million mansion. In an interview with Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, Paul said that all of Chance’s close relatives – including his grandparents – have died, meaning that he is the only family the 26-year-old has. “He only has me, whereas my tribe at home [in Australia], they’ve all got each other.”
