Meet Charlotte Lawrence: the Bad Monkey actress – who shone in silver at Paris Fashion Week – began writing songs at age 12 and has credits on film soundtracks including Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey
Having said she wouldn’t follow in her TV industry parents’ footsteps, Lawrence changed her mind for Bad Monkey. She was recently front row at New York Fashion Week, and briefly dated Charlie Puth
Forget glittery gold: singer-songwriter, model and actress Charlotte Lawrence sported a look for Rabanne’s spring/summer 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week in September that was all about shiny silver. After wowing viewers with her stellar TV debut performance in Bad Monkey, producer Bill Lawrence’s daughter has been the talk of Tinseltown. Now she’s proving herself a style icon too. Before pulling into Paris, Lawrence was spotted front row at New York Fashion Week for shows by Proenza Schouler, Simkhai, Khaite, Tory Burch and Michael Kors.
The 24-year-old was the life of the party during New York Fashion Week, performing at Luisaviaroma and Moda Operandi events. Her sexy chic aesthetic comes as no surprise, especially after the effortlessly bold outfits she donned for press interviews for Bad Monkey, but fashion week witnessed another level.

Glitz and glamour aside, who is Charlotte Lawrence really? Her mother is actress Christa Miller, her father created Bad Monkey and she is best friends with Gracie Abrams. But what else do we know about her?
Charlotte Lawrence loves … music
In her own words, music is Lawrence’s “first love”. She started writing songs at the age of 12 and now has more than two million monthly listeners on Spotify. She has contributed to the soundtracks of films including To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and Margot Robbie’sBirds of Prey (both 2020), and her single “Bodybag” was featured in her father’s show Shrinking. Most recently, she released the song “Wildflowers” for the soundtrack to Bad Monkey. She accompanied Madison Beer on the latter’s Spinnin Tour and she has her own merchandise, available via her website.
She didn’t want to be an actress
Considering the acclaim Lawrence is receiving for her acting debut, you might be surprised to know that she had “a huge egotistical aversion to acting” growing up. The young actress told Decider that she grew up doing musical theatre and acting in plays, but didn’t want to follow in her famous parents’ footsteps. “I would be like, ‘I am not going to do anything that my parents are doing. No way. I’m going to do the opposite and build my own path, blah, blah, blah,’” she recalled, adding, “It was ridiculous. I wish I did this sooner, but the second I gave it a shot and opened my mind up, I immediately fell in love with acting.”
