Jethro, a rapper who goes by the stage name Alonestar, went on a Facebook rant after Warner Music demanded that he remove Ed’s face and name from the artwork of “Raise Em Up”, a song the cousins collaborated on 14 years ago.
The rapper complied, but accused his cousin not just of forcing him to change the cover art, but also of getting his songs taken down. Jethro had released 21 remixes of their collaborative song on Spotify.
In his Facebook rant, the rapper stated, “Those songs help my daughter, my mother, our Sheeran family, be safe and eat and survive. It’s him [who is] disgusting and disgraceful, and I wrote and produced the songs.”
