Emmy award-winning TV personality, restaurateur and author Guy Fieri and his wife Lori’s younger son is leaving the nest. Eighteen-year-old Ryder Fieri is attending San Diego State University and has enrolled in the hospitality programme. Proud mum and dad helped their son move into his dorm in August, documenting the process through a mix of photos and videos on Instagram. “It hasn’t fully hit us yet, but not seeing him every day is gonna be hard,” the Guy’s Big Bite star captioned the post. He also revealed that Ryder’s roommate’s name is Hunter, which is his brother’s name.
Speaking of Hunter, Fieri celebrated his elder son’s 28th birthday recently with a heartfelt post on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday to my son, right-hand man, sous chef, co-host, instigator and good-time laughing machine. Hahaha. You are one of a kind, son – thanks for the adventure of a lifetime! Love ya, Dad.”

His father has expressed hopes that Hunter will take over his show Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives; in an interview with People, the younger Fieri said, “When the time comes, I will be ready to roll.”
Ryder Fieri plays basketball
Ryder Fieri is a passionate basketball fan and player. He and his famous father share a love for the San Francisco-based Golden State Warriors – Stephen Curry’s team – and have supported the team for years. In 2022, the older Fieri posted a throwback photo of the pair attending a game when his son was still a braces-wearing tween. Ryder played for his high school team for four years.
