Angelina Jolie’s recent outing with son Knox – who looks like his father Brad Pitt – made headlines around the world, but who are the teen’s grandparents, and do they ever see him?
Insiders have said that William and Jane Pitt have been fearing that they may “never be able” to see their beloved grandkids again. Before Brangelina’s separation, they were a huge part of the kids’ lives, according to the article.
So who are Brad Pitt’s parents, and what do we know about his upbringing with William, now 83, and Jane Pitt, 84?
What did Brad Pitt’s parents do for work?
Brad Pitt comes from a religious household. According to Biography.com, he was raised in a devoutly Southern Baptist family in Missouri. Per the source, his father, William Alvin Pitt, owned a trucking company, while his mother, Jane Etta Pitt, was a family counsellor. The Oklahoma Historical Society notes that William and Jane met at Oklahoma Baptist University, then got married in 1962.
“I grew up with that be capable, be strong, don’t show weakness thing,” Brad told The New York Times in 2019. “In some ways, I’m copying [my dad]. He had grown up in extreme hardship and poverty, always dead set on giving me a better life than he had – and he did it.”
He reiterated this sentiment in an interview with Parade. “My dad worked five and a half, six days a week [as a trucking company executive], and then he would take us fishing,” the Fight Club actor told the publication. “He’d do that all weekend, then start work again.”
