Sundance Head’s wife Misty has been giving fans regular updates about her husband’s condition since he was hospitalised for accidentally shooting himself at his Texas ranch last week.
In one post shared via his Facebook page, Misty said that the “Darlin’ Don’t Go” singer had been released from hospital and was at home in a stable condition as of November 16.
“Good morning, just wanted to give an update on Sundance – he was released late last night we got home very early this morning, it was a [rough] three hour ride home for him as the meds were wearing off and [because] he was moving he was bleeding badly through his dressings not to mention he was in just a hospital gown all his clothes were at the ranch,” she wrote.
In addition to the lengthy statement she added a photograph of a vest that showed a gunshot mark: “I’m posting a pic of his shirt just so y’all can see how lucky he was. Any higher or lower would have been devastating. I can’t express how grateful we are for all the messages, calls, and prayers. God is awesome.”
Sundance, 46, also posted a personal update to his Facebook page on November 17. “I was sure that I was gonna die,” he said in the clip. “It was one of the craziest things that’s ever happened to me … But I really wanted to come on here and tell you guys that I am alive. I’m in a lot of pain. I was shot accidentally in the stomach. I was alone.” He said he was grateful for the hospital workers and first responders, who were quick to help him on the scene.
