Hook is the latest rising star to watch in Hollywood: she’s already played a friend of Beanie Feldstein’s Monica Lewinsky in Impeachment and will soon star alongside Jameela Jamil
Fans of the Netflix teen drama First Kill will already know exactly who Sarah Catherine Hook is. Her first major role saw her play a 16-year-old vampire who falls for a vampire hunter, and the streaming platform caused an uproar when it cancelled the show after just one season.
More eagle-eyed viewers may remember the actress from Ryan Murphy’s Impeachment: American Crime Story, in which she played a close friend of Beanie Feldstein’s Monica Lewinsky. But it’s the two roles Hook has in the pipeline that are likely to propel her to the big time.

Here’s what you need to know about the 29-year-old rising star.
She’s starring in the Cruel Intentions reboot
First up is the reboot of 1999 cult classic Cruel Intentions. The film helped launch the careers of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe at the time, and now Amazon Prime will screen a full eight-episode season in November.
Hook has been cast as one of the leads, Caroline, and this time the action takes place at an elite college in Washington. The writer-producer team from Gossip Girl and Euphoria are behind the update, according to Russh.com, with one storyline even involving Caroline and her step sibling seducing the daughter of the US vice-president. Juicy!
