Ex-Disney star Skai Jackson, recently arrested on suspicion of domestic battery of her boyfriend, is back in the news – and for more than one reason. While detained in August, she told police she was pregnant, but only recently confirmed this publicly in an interview with People. “I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life – embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full,” Jackson told the magazine. While she initially stayed mum about the father of her unborn child, she now appears to have revealed that her baby daddy is Deondre Burgin, her boyfriend of a year.

Burgin, said to go by the name Yerkky Yerkky online, seemingly announced he is single after a now-deleted post on his Facebook account that shaded the former Jessie star. “On wopp I’m salty I got this dumb a*s Disney Channel b**** pregnant I hate this h*e,” read the post. Jackson and her mother, Kiya Cole, claim Burgin’s account was hacked and he didn’t write the post. In another plot twist, just a day after Jackson announced her pregnancy, Burgin was apprehended in Cincinnati, Ohio, for attempting to evade arrest – a violation of his parole.

Rumour has it that Jackson met Burgin while he was incarcerated. Reports suggest the couple wrote to each other while he was in jail and she was the one who bailed him out. One notorious gossip source also reported that Burgin has at least three other children by different mothers.

Burgin’s sexuality and loyalty were brought into question when an unknown TikTokker spoke about his rumoured relationship with the ex-convict, warning him to “tell the truth before I do”. The rumours gained traction when an Instagram gossip account shared the video, but attached comments largely rubbished the claims, saying the TikTokker was simply starting rumours for “clout”.
