Meet Jessica Simpson’s supportive parents Tina and Joe: they met in a Texas church as teenagers and have both supported their daughter’s career in different ways – but got divorced in 2013
Rumours are flying that there’s trouble in paradise for Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson after a cryptic Instagram post earlier this week – but what happened between the star’s parents?
“Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic,” she wrote in the caption below a photo in which she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring. “This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve,” she added.
Her sister Ashlee even addressed the rumours in a recent conversation with TMZ, simply replying “no” when asked if she knew whether Jessica was looking to get a divorce. It’s unclear whether she was saying no to the rumours or her knowledge of the situation.
And while you may already know plenty about Jessica’s love life and her adorable children, you likely know less about her parents, who have supported her throughout her ups and downs.
