Tony Buzbee is representing over 150 accusers in the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs case, and has threatened to expose the rapper’s ‘enablers’: here’s what you need to know about the colourful Texan lawyer

In October, Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee announced that he would be representing 120 accusers with allegations against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently in prison awaiting trial. That number has since gone up to over 150, according to the lawyer’s website.

“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” Buzbee said during the October news conference, per NBC. “Many powerful people … many dirty secrets.”

He added that allegations will include “violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings [and] sexual abuse of minors.” Buzbee continued, saying: “It’s a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make sure, damn sure, we are right before we do that. These names will shock you.”

Combs’ team has denied the claims. “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasised, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus,” Erica Wolff, one of Combs’ lawyers, told Page Six. “That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”

Here’s what we know about Tony Buzbee, who was once described by The New York Times as “a big, mean, ambitious, tenacious, fire-breathing Texas trial lawyer”:
