Erik Menendez’s wife Tammi has taken to social media to express her thoughts after LA district attorney George Gascón revisited his and his brother Lyle’s case – and Kim Kardashian is happy too

Erik Menendez’s wife Tammi Menendez has taken to social media after LA’s district attorney recommended resentencing Erik and Lyle Menendez, according to NBC Los Angeles. The brothers are currently serving life in prison for the murder of their parents, José Menendez and Mary Louise “Kitty” Menendez, in 1989.

“Good morning, yesterday was a difficult and emotional day,” Tammi wrote on X on October 25. “I am grateful to DA Gascón for his courage to seek resentencing for Erik, I am naturally disappointed he did not go further and act on his own belief that Erik and Lyle have served enough time in prison.”

According to E! News, the LA district attorney held a press conference the day before to say that he would formally recommend the Menendez brothers to be given a new sentence to add the possibility of parole. Per the outlet, the decision was made after new evidence emerged supporting the siblings’ allegation that they were sexually abused by their father.

Kim Kardashian also took to social media after hearing the news. “The Menendez brothers were granted a second chance at life and will wake up tomorrow finally eligible for a parole hearing,” the reality TV star wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Thank you, George Gascón, for revisiting the Menendez brothers’ case and righting a significant wrong.”

Public interest around the case has increased in the wake of Netflix documentary The Menendez Brothers, and Ryan Murphy’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, which came out in September.
