NFL star Dak Prescott is stepping into a new chapter of his life. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback proposed to his girlfriend and baby mama, Sarah Jane Ramos, during the Dallas Cowboys’ bye week with a stunning 10-carat emerald-cut sparkler worth US$1 million and even enlisted his little one’s help to pop the question. In a carousel post of photos shared by the football player on Instagram, the couple’s eight-month-old daughter, Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose, can be seen dressed in an adorable onesie that reads, “Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you!?” Then, Prescott got down on one knee and pulled out the rock of anyone’s dreams.

Of course, she said yes – and the loved-up pair broke out the champagne. Declaring his love for his future wife to his nearly 2.3 million followers, Prescott captioned the post, “Mine forever!!!! The best friend, partner, teammate, mother, and now fiancée I could ask or pray for! Thank you God for this blessing and family! I love you @sarahjane 4ever!”

As romantic as the occasion was, it soon prompted an online ruckus when netizens raised eyebrows at the timing of the proposal and the hefty price tag of the ring. The million dollar diamond ring might have been a drop in the ocean for the highest-paid player in NFL history, who just signed a US$240 million four-year contract extension with his team, but critics slammed the luxurious expenditure given his team’s appalling 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions days earlier. Nevertheless, the controversy was soon drowned out by warm well wishes from fans.

She attended Florida State University, per People, where she studied criminalistics and criminal science. However, her current profession is far from her academic qualification.
