RFK’s daughter with his second wife, Mary Richardson, wants to carve out her own path as a fashion designer – and now lives in Milan to pursue her dream career

As first lady of the United States, Jackie Kennedy Onassis restored the White House, championed the arts, and advocated for historic preservation. With her modern, elegant and simple style, she also set a high standard for first lady fashion.
Now, another member of the Kennedy family is seeking to carve out her own space in the fashion world – Kyra Kennedy, the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr and his second wife, Mary Richardson, who died in 2012.

She was born on August 22, 1995. Like her mother, who spent a semester working for artist Andy Warhol before becoming an architect, Kyra aspires to embark on a creative career – specifically, as a fashion designer.

By age 18, she had already interned with American designer Kenneth Cole and the French luxury house Dior.

She made her society debut at Le Bal des Debutantes

Shortly after her 18th birthday, Kyra made an entrance at Le Bal des Debutantes in 2013, wearing a baby blue gown from Dior, the very brand where she once interned.

“It’s my first time wearing haute couture, so that’s really exciting, and I’m obsessed with the colour,” Kyra shared with AFP.

Kyra also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan and spent her free time socialising with figures in fashion designer Andrew Warren’s circle, which included figures like Gaia Matisse, the great-great-granddaughter of painter Henri Matisse; Peter Brant Jr, son of model Stephanie Seymour; Reya Benitez, daughter of musician Jellybean Benitez; and Tiffany Trump, daughter of then-presidential nominee Donald Trump.

This glamorous group, dubbed “The Snap Pack”, gained attention for their lavish lifestyle – partying at nightclubs and hotel suites – that was featured frequently on Warren’s Instagram feed.
