Meet Liam Gallagher’s son, Gene Gallagher: he’s modelled for Adidas, fronts indie band Villanelle, and helped his cousin broker peace between his dad and uncle Noel to bring about the Oasis reunion
Liam Gallagher’s second son is a musician and model who opened for the Oasis frontman’s ‘Definitely, Maybe’ tour earlier this year, and is set to play at the Oasis Live, 25 tour too
After what felt like an eternity, Oasis fans finally got the news they’ve been dreaming about since that fateful day in 2009 when the band announced its split. The Gallagher brothers are getting the band back together and hitting the road for a UK and Ireland tour in 2025, playing stadiums in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin.
It appears that the 23-year-old indie rocker, who looks exactly like his 51-year-old dad did in his youth, will be opening for Oasis during their much-anticipated reunion tour with his band Villanelle. A source close to the Gallaghers broke the news to the Daily Mail, saying “Gene is supporting Oasis. He’s been telling a few people, and he’s really excited. He loves playing with his dad and knows it will be huge for his music career.”
Curious about Liam Gallagher’s son? Here’s everything we know about Gene Gallagher.
He fronts an indie-rock band
Named after legendary Kiss frontman Gene Simmons, the younger Gallagher is the frontman of indie band Villanelle, shredding it as the lead guitarist and vocalist. The band has been gigging at small venues across the UK, playing iconic spots like The Marquis in London’s Covent Garden, among others. They even opened for Liam Gallagher’s Definitely, Maybe tour earlier this year, allowing Gene to show that he’s got the musical chops to carry on his family’s legacy.
