Meet Shark Tank billionaire Mark Cuban’s long-time wife, Tiffany Stewart – who made headlines on her 40th when Jon Bon Jovi gave her a Cartier watch, and once called herself ‘middle class’
Cuban just backed Kamala Harris for the coming US 2024 presidential election, and slammed Donald Trump while speaking to Jon Stewart on The Daily Show
As Cuban continues to make headlines for his new business venture – which aims to disrupt the healthcare industry in the US – and for his outspokenness ahead of elections, not much is known about his private life.
However, one woman has supported him through it all: his wife Tiffany Stewart, who he’s been married to for over 20 years. Here’s what you need to know about the “Shark wife” who stays out of the limelight.
How did Mark Cuban meet his wife, Tiffany Stewart?
Cuban said that when he moved to Dallas, Texas, he was looking for “fun, sun, money and women”, per D Magazine. He was at the gym when he met Stewart in 1997, when he was considered one of America’s wealthiest bachelors, per Forbes. The couple got married in Barbados in 2002, in an intimate ceremony that had only 20 guests. Wedding planner Russell Holloway said it was a “traditional, very elegant, beautiful wedding”, per The Plainview Herald.
Tiffany Stewart once called herself and Mark Cuban “middle class” … despite Cuban being a billionaire
Despite her husband’s immense wealth even in 2000 (he now has a net worth of US$5.7 billion, per Forbes), Stewart said she still considered herself and Cuban to be “middle class”. At the time, Cuban had just sold his company Broadcast.com to Yahoo! in a landmark deal that catapulted him to billionaire status.
The New York Times reported that Cuban bought a 24,000 sq ft Dallas mansion – a purchase that Stewart thought was “impractical”. She still worked in sales at an ad agency, driving her Honda to work.
