The 19-year-old will reportedly be pursuing a bachelor of science and engineering for social change at the University College London’s Faculty of Engineering after a gap year travelling and working. The UCL website states that the degree aims to create a “next generation leader in social change” – perfect for the princess who is second in line to the throne after her older sister Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange.
In a new Instagram update by the Dutch royal household, Princess Alexia is pictured looking radiant in a brown waistcoat outside the UCL campus. The caption announced that the princess’ student life will be considered private information.

The school was coined “hippie Hogwarts” by the Sunday Times, and is in a Welsh castle. It offers unconventional courses like sustainability studies and tai chi, per Vanity Fair. The school is also known for promoting global cooperation and world peace – evident from the diverse student body on campus and the ample scholarships that are offered.
