Born in Sussex, the TikTok influencer boasts over 9 million followers; she was in an on-off relationship with Central Cee before the drama with Ice Spice went down

In her video posted on July 12, she starts off sarcastically: “You guys caught us, it was all PR,” she begins. “I hope you enjoyed the video that dropped at midnight last night. I know I did, and I know I enjoyed going to the club and going to the set. I know I definitely saw that video before anyone on here did.”

She is referring to the recent drama with her ex-boyfriend, Central Cee – the British rapper known for hits like “Doja” and “Sprinter” – and American rapper Ice Spice.

So, who exactly is Madeline Argy, and how did she become entangled in drama with such high-profile rappers?

She studied forensic linguistics at university

Madeline Argy was born on July 7, 2000, in Sussex, England. She has an elder sister, Jessica, and her mum Mikey is an activist and survivor of Thalidomide, per The Face. After watching an episode of the American drama series Criminal Minds, Argy decided to pursue forensic linguistics at the University of Kent, per People.

“You can tell everything from waveform,” she geeked out over linguistics in an interview with Coveteur. “There are cases where they’ve caught a killer based off the split seconds between a plosive and a consonant – tiny things that you see if you really analyse someone’s speech.”

During her time at the university, she began posting videos on TikTok, with her first video dating back to March 2021.
