The actress and podcaster shares how her boyfriend dumped her around the time the paparazzi were hounding her family over a 2019 US college admissions scandal

If you needed a reminder that Jacob Elordi is taken, the Saltburn star was recently seen with his girlfriend Olivia Jade Giannulli on their way to celebrate her sister Isabella “Bella” Rose Giannulli’s 26th birthday. The party was held at LA hotspot Funke, with the girls’ mother, Lori Loughlin, also there. The sisters and their parents were involved a US college admissions bribery scandal in 2019.

While Olivia Jade has an active social media presence, thanks to her YouTube career, Isabella Rose is more low-key. In fact, her first Instagram update of the year wasn’t until July 5, followed by another on July 11 and nothing since. We know Bella is an actress with film appearances alongside her mother but what else do we know about her?

While not posting much on her personal Instagram, Bella is constantly promoting her knit brand, The Bitch Knits. According to the brand’s official Instagram, the products are handmade by Bella and can be customised. The current collection includes bun toppers but Bella also makes sweaters, ear muffs, bonnets, balaclavas and bags.

She’s a former podcast host

From 2022 to 2023, Bella hosted the podcast The Nail Polish Sisters with Jami Belushi. Described as a “friendship simulator”, the show delved into topics like love and relationships, with the hosts welcoming various guests into their conversations. The podcast has been on hiatus since April of last year.

A major turning point in the Giannulli sisters’ lives came in 2019, when news broke of their parents being charged with conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud by falsifying their daughters’ athletic profiles and paying US$500,000 to get them into the University of Southern California, which Bella reportedly attended for three years. Both Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded guilty and served time in prison.

In the aftermath of the scandal, Bella revealed that she had been hounded by the paparazzi and that her boyfriend – who she described as her “first real love” – broke up with her around the same time. “It was really hard to go through a break-up and then also have something even bigger and honestly more important on top of it. Because all I wanted to do was cry and mourn my relationship and I couldn’t,” she shared on Conversations with Olivia Jade, her sister’s podcast.
