This isn’t the first time Henry has accompanied his dad on the red carpet: they did the Oscars 2023 together too, with mum Alicja Bachleda-Curuś sharing a proud shout-out on Instagram

The titular star of HBO’s The Penguin, Colin Farrell, turned the New York premiere of his show into a dapper family affair this week, as he hit the red carpet with his youngest son, Henry Tadeusz Farrell.

Colin shares Henry with actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, with whom he starred in the 2009 Irish romance film Ondine and dated for two years. He also has another son, James Padraig Farrell, with his ex-girlfriend, model Kim Bordenave.

The Oscar-nominated actor reprises the role of The Penguin from 2022’s The Batman in his upcoming show. While fans are thrilled about his return as the iconic villain, his children don’t seem to echo the same sentiment. “They’re sick of me being a bad guy,” he once told Ellen DeGeneres, but added that he took it as a compliment.

The father-son duo have had some great fashion moments together. They looked dashing at the Oscars last year, donning matching black velvet tuxedos. For the New York premiere of The Penguin, Farrell opted for a black pinstriped suit with a white button down while his mini-me went all in black.

Despite their fashionable public appearances together, the Banshees of Inisherin star has found quite the critic in his teenage son, who is “mortified” whenever he wears his short shorts. “He says, ‘Please Dad, do not wear the short shorts.’ And I tell him, ‘They feel good.’ It’s not a fashion thing,” the 48-year-old actor revealed, again on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Henry seems to have a solid relationship with his mother, Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. Following his recent red carpet appearance, the Polaris actress posted the look on her Instagram and captioned it proudly, “He is becoming a pro at this! All grown up @thebatman What a great show!”

She also gave him an IG shout-out after his Oscars debut, writing, “What a special night! So proud of the young man he’s become (way too fast!) #proudmom #prouddad #oscars.”
