Scott Mackinlay Hahn started out working with Bono and Rogan Gregory
Scott Mackinlay Hahn has been in the fashion and garment industry for decades, initially partnering up with Rogan Gregory, a designer who worked for Calvin Klein. Together, they launched the labels Rogan and Edun, per Time magazine – the latter of which was fronted by Bono. However, in the end. the two brands didn’t work out, with Edun being wound down after being sold to LVMH, according to Reuters, and Rogan being too artisanal, expensive and experimental to scale, Mackinlay Hahn said in a video clip purportedly filmed at the Project event in Las Vegas in 2006.
He’s the owner-founder of Loomstate
In 2004, Mackinlay Hahn and Gregory launched Loomstate, a clothing company that puts socially and environmentally responsible methods of production at its centre. He and Gregory were prompted to do more by Mackinlay Hahn’s “inspiring” sister, he said at the Project event, who pointed out to them the importance of using organic cotton in their creations.
