What is Fred C. Trump III’s background?
Born in 1962, Fred C. is the son of Linda Clapp of Queens, New York, and Fred Trump Jr, the eldest son of Fred Trump Sr, who was the patriarch of the Trump family property empire. Fred C. has a younger sister, Mary Trump, who is an author and psychologist.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in economics from Lehigh University, Fred C. fell into the family business and began carving out a successful career in commercial property, working his way up from an associate to executive director at Cushman & Wakefield. He married Lisa Beth Lorant, a senior underwriter for a New York-based insurance company, in 1989, and the couple went on to have three children.
Tension and legal battles in the Trump family
After Fred Jr passed away from a heart attack in 1981, Fred C. entered a complex and tumultuous relationship with his uncle Donald and the broader Trump family.
