Is John “Jack” Edward Thomas Moynahan, Tom Brady’s eldest kid, gearing up for an NFL career? Although it’s too early to tell whether the soon to be 17-year-old will pursue American football or not, it seems he’s shaping up to follow in his dad’s footsteps. Despite dabbling in other sports, including soccer, in his younger days, Moynahan seems to have developed a passion for his dad’s old sport.

The father-son duo have developed a close bond over the years. The pair were recently seen at a sushi restaurant in Tribeca in New York City. A patron reportedly described Moynahan as a “super tall kid – taller than his dad”. Brady is 193cm tall.

Moynahan is the son of Brady and ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. The former couple discovered their pregnancy after their break-up and just as Brady began dating Victoria’s Secret supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Despite the awkward situation, Brady went on to marry Bündchen and have two more children – Benjamin and Vivian – while co-parenting Moynahan with his ex. Bündchen told People that she’s worked hard to build a “special relationship” with her stepson, calling herself a “bonus mum” and admiring the relationship between Moynahan and her own son, Benjamin.

In October 2022, the former couple made headlines when they announced that they amicably finalised their divorce. Both issued a statement that they would continue to co-parent their children, who would remain their priority, per Glamour.

The teenager plays American football in his high school, according to E! Online. In an October 2022 episode of Sirius XM’s podcast Let’s Go, Brady, 46, revealed that his son played in the position of free safety but sometimes stepped in as a quarterback.

Moynahan also seems to have picked up Brady’s commitment to the sport. People reported in August 2021 that he worked as a ball boy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Brady saying he took the job seriously.
