Earlier this year, Shania Twain revealed that she doesn’t resent her ex-husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, despite his affair. On the Great Company with Jamie Laing podcast, the 58-year-old singer – who performed in the prestigious Legend’s slot at Glastonbury in June – talked about her former marriage to Lange, which ended in 2008 after his affair with her friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Twain herself has been happily married to Marie-Anne’s ex-husband, Frédéric Thiébaud since 2011.
Twain emphasised the importance of forgiveness, saying, “Forgiveness is in the family of letting go … it’s about understanding the other person.” She added, “Do I hate my ex-husband for making a mistake? No. It’s his mistake. Not my mistake.”
