Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard says that “Sundays are for yard work” … which she apparently does in swimwear.

The 30-year-old Canadian tennis pro raised eyebrows this week after she posted a series of photos and videos of her hosing herself down and attempting to rake leaves in Miami, as reported by the New York Post. “Make that OnlyFans already,” wrote one user, whose comment got over 1,000 likes. “From Wimbledon finalist to this,” wrote another. Others called the post “cringeworthy”.

The post comes days after Bouchard made comments about how “sex appeal” contributed to her fame. “Tennis, first of all, is a great sport for that sex appeal side,” Bouchard told YouTuber Valeria Lipovetsky in a podcast episode on June 18. “We’re wearing short skirts, we’re wearing tank tops. It’s fun to turn on the TV and watch that. Right away I was able to get great marketing deals off the court. Being asked to be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a few times.”

“Exploring that path was definitely on my to-do list. It’s definitely part of who I am because I think it’s great,” she added.

In a 2019 interview with The Telegraph, she clapped back at the haters who criticised her for being so invested in Instagram. “Who are the most famous people in the world? They have the most haters in the world. Kim Kardashian, Donald Trump. It’s part of life now, so we have to accept it. You have to distance yourself from it and not take it too personally, and also realise that most of them would want to be in your spot,” she said.
