Stepping into the shoes of Lord Samadani – a suitor Queen Charlotte has her eye on for Francesca Bridgerton – David Mumeni isn’t your average TV actor. From playing the hilariously awkward Cem in the small-screen comedy Stath Lets Flats, to nabbing roles in the major action films Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019), to bringing “Footrub Ken” to life in the Barbie movie (2023), Mumeni’s credits are as diverse as they are impressive.

Sci-fi aficionados might recognise him from the critically acclaimed Star Wars spin-off for TV, Andor.

The British actor, who graduated from the London-based Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2019, originally set his sights on a music career before a random brush with authority led him in a new direction. In an interview with L’Officiel, he revealed that a detention led him to read lines for a teacher, sparking his passion for the craft of acting.
