Ex-Congressman George Santos has had his fair share of controversy.
But that doesn’t top the most shocking news about him, which emerged in late 2022: within weeks following his election in November, numerous news outlets reported that much of his biography was fabricated. The New York Times reported that he admitted to lying about his education and employment history.
Santos then became the sixth person in history to be expelled from Congress in December 2023 after an exposé revealed he had spun a web of lies and exaggerations on the campaign trail.
In the midst of all this political drama, the former New York third congressional district representative dropped a bombshell about his “husband Matt” on X as he posted a message of condolences to the late US senator Dianne Feinstein in September last year.
“My husband Matt and I are heartbroken by the news of the passing of Senator Feinstein,” Santos posted. “Sen. Feinstein was a trailblazer who dedicated over 30 years of service to her country. Our condolences to the Feinstein family as they grieve this grave loss.”
So who exactly is the US politician’s mysterious other half?
