Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer has just announced that he and his wife of 13 years are calling it quits. “It is immensely sad,” the 60-year-old told British media over the weekend, “I just want to devote myself to all my children, and to my grandchildren, and I wish Karen every happiness in the future.” Karen is Charles Spencer’s third wife.
Since the news broke, British media have reported that Spencer has hired Baroness Fiona Shackleton of Belgravia, the “demon negotiator” lawyer who represented King Charles during his divorce from Princess Diana. The baroness has reportedly taken on a slew of high profile clients over the years, including Madonna, Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, Paul McCartney and Prince Andrew.
