Actor John Stamos – better known as Uncle Jesse in the hit 90s sitcom Full House – paid tribute to his co-star Bob Saget last month, on what would have been the late star’s 68th birthday. Saget died unexpectedly in 2022 after accidentally hitting his head in a hotel room while on tour.

Sharing a never-before-seen black and white photo of the cast gathered together before Saget’s funeral on Instagram, he said that the comedian was the “heart” of the Full House family. “Bob, you are with us in every joke we share and every hug we give,” Stamos wrote.

The fact that all of the cast can be seen in the photo, including the Olsen twins who jointly played Michelle Tanner on the show, was clearly special for fans.

“OMG, the best cast photo fans could ever ask for!” wrote one user on the post. “Seeing Mary Kate and Ashley there just made me so emotional,” wrote another.

So what have the cast been up to since the show ended in 1995?

1. John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), 60

Of all the stars who populated the much loved sitcom, John Stamos went on to have the most successful acting career. Aside from starring in ER for several seasons as Dr Tony Gates, he popped up in all manner of sitcoms thereafter – from Friends to Glee and Netflix Thriller You.

On June 3, he announced his involvement in a brand new musical parody, Willy’s Candy Spectacular, about Glasgow’s famously disastrous Willy Wonka experience. Not afraid to laugh at himself as usual, he can be seen belting out the musical’s title track in a hilarious video shared with Deadline.

2. Dave Coulier (Joey Gladsone), 64

Dave Coulier spent most of the time after Full House ended doing voice-overs for animations and kids’ shows before returning to reprise his role in Netflix’s sequel Fuller House in 2016. However, as he says on his website, he has worn “a lot of hats” over the years, including hosting, producing, directing and doing stand-up. He even went to contractor’s school to learn how to be a builder so he could build his own family home. Impressive!

3. Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner), 48

Per People magazine, Candace Cameron married Russian-American ice hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996 and the couple have since had three children together – all of whom are now in their early 20s. She was a host on The View for two seasons and appeared on Dancing with the Stars in 2014.

4 and 5. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner), both 37

Starting out on Full House at just nine months old as alternates for the adorable Michelle Tanner, these days the Olsen twins are fabulously wealthy. Dualstar, the holding company set up for them, had reportedly generated an incredible US$1.2 billion in retail sales by 2004 thanks to the twins’ subsequent involvement in everything from toys and magazines to fashion licenses and film deals.

These days, the pair have built a fashion empire in The Row, considered a go-to brand for luxurious understated classics.

6. Lori Loughlin (Becky Katsopolis), 59

Lori Loughlin played Jesse/Stamos’ wife Becky on the show, and reprised her role in Netflix’s 2016 sequel. Throughout the 90s and 2000s she acted in numerous productions including 90210 and Spin City with Michael J. Fox, per IMDB.

But in recent years, her name has been most associated with the US college admissions scandal. Loughlin served two months in prison after paying US$500,000 to get her daughter into the University of Southern California, per People. But the actress seems to be moving on, even parodying herself in the final season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

7. Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), 42

Sweetin played the chatty, much loved middle child Stephanie on the show, but fell into alcoholism when the show finished – even though she was only 14, she revealed in her 2009 memoir UnSweetined. She married at 20, began taking meth, and was divorced by 24, as reported by E! News. Now clean, she launched a parenting podcast in 2019 with bestie Celia Behar, per People, and remarried in 2022 … following two more divorces since her first.
