How did Emma Roberts and Cody John meet?
According to E! News, Roberts and John met through mutual friends in mid-2022. The pair went Instagram official that August, when John posted a black and white photo of them kissing on a yacht. An insider told the outlet a couple of months later that John was good at making Roberts laugh.
“Emma loves Cody’s personality. He’s really funny and they have been having a good time together,” the source told E!, adding, “Emma is cautious about bringing her son around new people, but knows the day will come soon.”
Based on her recent AD interview, it seems that they were right.

Perhaps as a result of his relatively low-key acting career, John has fewer than 8,000 followers on Instagram. He’s also posted a mere seven times compared to his scream queen girlfriend, who’s shared nearly 2,000 photos with her more than 20 million followers.
Nevertheless, more than half of John’s posts have been about Roberts, sharing photos of the actress to celebrate her on her birthday each year and giving her sweet nicknames including “teenie tiny” and “sheesh”.
He keeps active
While he doesn’t put much about himself out into the public domain, what he has shared seems to confirm that he likes to keep active and – per Roberts’ reported assessment of him – has a sense of humour.
“Climbed the tallest mountain in Idaho wearing a swimsuit. Absolute nightmare,” he wrote on one post of himself standing on top of Borah Peak.
His actor’s profile on Backstage.com also lists his favourite sports as basketball, waterskiing, skiing and golf, and he appears to rate his guitar-playing abilities two stars out of three.
