Paige Laurie was born to her Bill and Nancy Laurie in 1982. Paige is the maternal granddaughter of the late Bud Walton, who helped his brother Sam establish the retail company, notes Forbes. Her mum is currently worth US$11 billion, and owns a portfolio of commercial properties, yachts and homes.

Laurie was embroiled in controversy when it was revealed that she had been accused of paying a fellow uni student US$20,000 to do her homework at USC, per a 2005 article in the Los Angeles Times. “Paige Laurie voluntarily has surrendered her degree and returned her diploma to the university. She is not a graduate of USC,” the school said in a statement at the time. “This concludes the university’s review of the allegations concerning Ms. Laurie.”
She had previously earned a bachelor’s degree from the USC Annenberg School for Communication in 2004.
