The daughter of Maureen Brady – Tom’s older sister and former Olympic softball player – has followed in her mother’s footsteps and currently ranks second of all-time at UCLA with 71 career home runs, per ESPN. “It’s an honour to carry on the legacy of the Brady name,” Maya told the platform. “My family is just everything to me.”
Her mum is very proud of her daughter. “I’m so happy for Maya that she gets to have the same experience,” Maureen shared with ESPN. “I remember playing on this field and what it feels like, and so I’m just so thankful and grateful that she gets to have those same feelings and same memories and same experience. … Because it’s something that you just never forget.”
