Erin Andrews may be the most famous female sportscaster in the US – and she’s also made headlines for playing matchmaker to pop icon Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce.

The pair’s romance may have come as a surprise to many – and was even controversial for some diehard American football fans – but Andrews doesn’t seem to be too bothered by other people’s opinions. She recently shared with the New York Post: “[Taylor Swift] has opened the door to these young female viewers,” referring to new female fans of American football becoming interested in the sport thanks to the pop icon.

Born on May 4, 1978, Andrews started watching sports from a young age thanks to her dad, per New York Post. The TV personality later graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, reported Fox Sports.

Joining ESPN in 2004 and making the switch to Fox Sports in 2012, Andrews has decades of experience in the industry. But it’s not all about the NFL for her – in 2010, she got third place on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars season 10, and then co-hosted the show from 2014 to 2019 with Tom Bergeron.
