The rumour mill around Justin and Hailey Bieber’s relationship woes cranked up recently when her father Stephen Baldwin reposted a message from Victor Marx asking fans to pray for the couple

Although Baldwin didn’t offer additional context about why he shared the post, fans were quick to call out how ‘inappropriate’ the statement from Marx was – so who is he?

The rumour mill around Justin and Hailey Bieber’s relationship woes cranked up in February when her father Stephen Baldwin reposted a message from a church minister named Victor Marx asking fans to pray for the couple.

Per US media, The Aviator actor sparked concern from netizens when he reshared a post from Marx, founder of All Things Possible Ministries, which showed Bieber singing along to “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever” by Delirious? and the Hillsong Worship.

On the clip, Marx wrote, “Christians, please when you think of Justin and Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord.”

“I seldom like to post about certain folks in the limelight because of the negative comments we get. Eileen and Hailey’s mum pray often together for J&H and our children as well,” he added in the post’s caption.

Although Hailey’s actor father didn’t offer any context or additional insight into his reasons for resharing the post, several fans were quick to call out how “inappropriate” and “invasive” the statement from Marx was, as reported by BuzzFeed News.

Others reportedly prayed for the married couple as requested, with one Christian commenter writing: “I’ve been praying that Justin will receive the calling upon his life. His gift and platform could reach millions for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
