  • Taylor Swift famously endorsed Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020, but other stars are vehemently backing the latter this year, including controversial TV host Roseanne Barr, who called him ‘Mother Bear’
  • Jon Voight has compared the former president to biblical figures while Dennis Quaid praised his travel ban during the pandemic – meanwhile, Ye and Trump have had a more volatile relationship

The 2024 US presidential elections is gaining momentum as the race for party presidential nominees heats up, with Trump projected to win the Republican spot. In particular, Taylor Swift and her apparent ability to influence votes has gained plenty of attention.
Per Billboard, Swift shared a post on Instagram last year that resulted in 35,000 new voter registrations. A recent conspiracy theory around Swift and her supposed relationship with US president Joe Biden has also gained momentum. A poll by The Guardian found that just under a fifth of Americans believe that Swift is part of a conspiracy to help Biden get re-elected in November.

In 2020, Swift endorsed Biden over Trump – a move the White House is apparently seeking again. And although Swift has remained mum on her political decision so far, other celebrities have not been shy to voice their support for their candidates.

Rapper-turned-country music star Kid Rock offered his support to Trump back in 2016. Multiple outlets have since reported on their “friendship”, with the pair attending UFC fights and golfing together at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. In 2022, at the start of his Bad Reputation tour, Kid Rock aired a personalised video message from Trump where the former US president described the musician as “one of the greatest entertainers of our time”.

2. Kelsey Grammer

In December, Paramount+ representatives cut short an interview that Grammer was giving to the BBC after the conversation turned to his support of Trump. Grammer himself reportedly appeared happy to speak about his political choices despite his reps’ intervention.

The Frasier star has endorsed Trump since 2016. In 2018, he supported Trump’s decision to withdraw from the G20 climate agreement, claiming at the time that climate change was not a serious issue, per Newsweek.
